What is EMS?

EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) training uses controlled, low-level electrical impulses to activate muscle groups during guided movement — engaging up to 90% of muscle fibres simultaneously. At Nordic Fit Lab, EMS is always delivered in a supervised 1:1 setting, with intensity adapted to your body, your experience level and your goal.

Why 20 minutes?

A 20-minute EMS session activates significantly more muscle mass than a conventional hour-long workout. This is not a shortcut — it is precision. The electrical stimulus reaches deep muscle groups that are difficult to activate through voluntary movement alone. Recovery time is essential, which is why we recommend 1–2 sessions per week.

How a 1:1 session works

You arrive. Your coach fits you with a clean EMS vest and leg cuffs, connects them to a calibrated device. The session begins with a low-intensity warm-up. Your coach guides you through a structured movement sequence while adjusting impulse intensity in real time based on your feedback. Nothing is generic. Everything is adapted.

What vacuum cardio adds

Vacuum cardio combines rhythmic compression and controlled breathing in a low-impact format. It supports circulation, reduces water retention, and improves endurance conditioning — without joint stress. Included in the Premium Membership for clients focused on body composition and recovery.

Lifestyle guidance

Training alone is not enough. Nordic Fit Lab includes structured guidance on sleep, hydration, nutrition habits and recovery. This is not a diet programme. It is practical, science-backed support designed to help your training results compound over time.

Progress tracking

Every month we conduct a structured review: measurements, a fitness benchmark, a conversation about what is working and what needs adjusting. You always know where you are. Progress is visible, measurable and motivating.

Safety and contraindications

EMS is safe for most healthy adults. Not suitable for people with active implanted devices (pacemakers, cochlear implants), epilepsy, acute inflammatory conditions, pregnancy or severe cardiovascular disease. We conduct a full safety screening before your first session and will tell you directly if EMS is not right for you.
